The capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Port Blair is just a two-hour flight away from mainland India. Andaman and Nicobar are a conglomeration of as many as 570 islands (only 36 of which are currently inhabited) and Port Blair is the entry point for visiting these islands. Port Blair is famous for the historic Cellular Jail, museums, ruined structures, monuments and other small islands (Viper, Ross, etc.) that used to be home to the British colonists.
